Timothy Lee Managing Director Retail and International Investor Group
Timothy Lee is managing director of Avalon’s Retail and International Investor Group specializing in retail and investment sales, acquisitions and leasing. In this role, he assists international clients in every aspect of the commercial real estate transaction: from due diligence to connecting clients with lenders, architects, land use consultants, environmental consultants, CPAs and contractors. He has advised many foreign investors, particularly those from Korea and Japan, and help them successfully navigate Hawaii’s real estate environment.
Prior to joining Avalon, Tim was managing director at Bishop Street Commercial where he served a similar role. He was also previously with Prudential Commercial Services Iwado Realty where he was awarded the Prudential Chairman’s Circle Platinum award in 2010 and the Prudential Chairman’s Circle Gold award in 2011. These awards recognize the Top 1% and the Top 2% of approximately 62,000 sales professionals in Prudential’s real estate network nationwide.
Notable sales transactions include the Continental Surf Hotel (Vive Hotel Waikiki), Foster Tower Commercial Waikiki, 345 Royal Hawaiian Avenue, Servco Lexus Kahului, Goodyear/7Eleven Kahului, Trinion Center at 1731 Kalakaua, 666 North King Street (Shell Gas) and Antioch Baptist Church in Aeia.
Tim was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in New York and the D.C. area. He attended the University of Massachussetts at Amherst and the Ecole Superieure de Cuisine Francaise in Paris, France. He owned and operated restaurants in Seoul, Korea and Auckland, New Zealand and returned to Hawaii in 2007 when he started his commercial real estate career. He is bilingual and fluent in English and Korean.
