Suspense builds for 'Women Who Mean Business'
Hawaii business
from taxis to Tesoro, from health to the Hula Bowl,
are represented by this year's nominees for Pacific
Business News Businesswomen of the Year.
The 2002 PBN
Businesswoman of the Year has been selected and a separate
Top 25 list is also complete, more than three
weeks ahead of the April 11 event "Women Who Mean
Business." But the information is apparently still
classified.
"The top 25 know they're on the list," said
event organizer Doreen Tavares. "But they don't
know where they are on the list.
And they won't know,
until the event itself."
"Women Who Mean Business" is Thursday, April
11, but this is the last week to register to attend the
event in the Monarch
Room of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Friday is the deadline
to reserve seats. For information: 955-8100.
Along with
the Royal Hawaiian, the event sponsors are American Savings
Bank and Hawaii Pacific University. The Honolulu chapter
of Executive Women International judged the nominees.
